Think Generosity

Every year the Dean’s Office distributes “Thank-you” letters from scholarship recipients to our many generous scholarship donors. Below are excerpts from the letters:

Dear Simmons Family Foundation,

Thank you for your generous contribution to my education. My entire family thanks you! When I told my children that a kind stranger was going to help me finish school they said:

“Cool! Wow, she must think you are REALLY smart, mom!” Vincent, age 7
“That stranger is really nice of us.” Gabe, age 6
Lilly, sage 18 months, after lots of cues from her older brothers, clapped her little hands and said, “yeah!”

Your donation will help me spend more time and focus better on my studies. I am excited about graduating in December 2007 with my teaching certificate. I then hope to find employment as an elementary school teacher here in the valley.

I promise not to waste your money! I will help others to reach their educational dreams, just as you are helping me.

My sincere thanks, Audrey Wiberg
