About Our Clinical Services
The USU Speech-Language-Hearing Center (USUSLHC) is housed in the Department of Communicative Disorders and Deaf Education on the Utah State University campus. The Center provides high quality diagnostic and treatment services to clients of all ages from the university and surrounding communities.
The primary purpose of the USUSLHC is to train advanced students in the Department of Communicative Disorders and Deaf Education. Therefore, the number and type of clients accepted for diagnostic and treatment services is determined by the training needs of the Department’s students. Clients who receive speech, language or hearing services at the USUSLHC should understand that these services are provided by students who are at an appropriate level of training to participate in the practicum and who are directly supervised by appropriately certified faculty members.
Standard 1.6 Students, faculty, staff, and persons served in the program’s clinic are treated in a nondiscriminatory manner – that is, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, participation restriction, age, sexual orientation, or status as a parent. The institution and program comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and executive orders pertaining thereto.
